The Leading Professional Development in Classroom Assessment seminar is specifically designed for educators who have professional development responsibilities and who wish to gain or improve skills in offering professional development in day-to-day classroom assessment FOR learning.

Our goal is to have participants leave the session familiar with our ideas and materials, ready to share information on both with others through introductory presentations, and ready to facilitate learning teams within their own schools.

Because of the way this seminar is structured and the role of participants upon returning to their school/district, we ask that participants come only as part of a school or district team. 

You will have homework to do…

Four weeks prior to the seminar, participants will receive copies of Classroom Assessment for Student Learning: Doing It Right-Using It Well, several articles, a DVD presentation, New Mission, New Beliefs, and a list of assignments to be completed prior to the seminar.  To gain the most benefit from this session it is essential that all participants be grounded in the concepts at the start of the workshop.
