Rubrics: Distinguishing the Gems from the Duds
The usefulness of rubrics as instructional tools in the classroom is only as good as the rubric itself. What do we want rubrics to do for us? What features must rubrics have to do these things? Use answers to these questions to analyze sample rubrics for quality. This session assumes that participants already understand what performance assessment is and when to use it, and have some experience using rubrics in the classroom.
