The Principal's Assessment Responsibilities

This session for building principals will focus on the instructional leadership responsibilities principals have in ensuring assessment systems are in place that are comprehensive, productive, and balanced. Greater student success can be realized if principals 1.) know the research underpinning classroom assessment, 2.) create a vision and a plan for quality assessment at the school level, 3.) analyze the current assessment environment of the school, and 4.) become assessment literate themselves.
