ETS offers this 2-day workshop for teachers, administrators, and staff development specialists. Participants will be introduced to the two "big ideas" — assessment for learning and accurate assessment — found in ETS's book, Classroom Assessment for Student Learning: Doing It Right-Using It Well, and the support videos.

Aspects of classroom practice that will be examined using practical, classroom examples include:
| Standards of accuracy and quality in classroom assessment |
| Establishing clear learning targets |
| Ensuring assessment methods match learning targets |
| Student involvement in the assessment process |
| The use of descriptive feedback |
| Effective use of the ETS professional development program in collaborative learning teams |

For deeper study of student-involved classroom assessment, all participants will receive a copy of Classroom Assessment for Student Learning: Doing It Right-Using It Well. This book includes a DVD and a CD-ROM containing activities that facilitate individual or group learning by extending the ideas presented in the book.
In addition, participants will receive a copy of Jan Chappuis's new book, the Learning Team Facilitator Handbook with a DVD featuring Rick Stiggins explaining the central ideas of Classroom Assessment for Student Learning and Jan Chappuis presenting chapter-by-chapter introductions to CASL.
