Seven Strategies

This two-day workshop is based on the content of ATI’s latest book, Seven Strategies of Assessment for Learning. The workshop is designed to deepen participants’ understanding of how assessment for learning can be woven into daily teaching activities and to prepare them to lead others in their study of these practices.

Specific topics include:

  • Helping students develop a clear vision of the intended learning
  • Providing descriptive feedback effectively and efficiently
  • Teaching students to self-assess and set goals
  • Preparing students to reflect on, track and share their learning
  • Preparing to lead team-based professional development with the book Seven Strategies of Assessment for Learning.

Who Should Attend:

This workshop is recommended for staff developers, teacher leaders, building and district administrators and others with ongoing professional development responsibilities.

What You Will Receive:

Each participant will receive a copy of the book Seven Strategies of Assessment for Learning, a facilitator guide to using the book as the focus of learning-team study and a CD of related materials.
